On another gripe, re: the USS Enterprise
The media has been telling us all day that the Enterprise Battle Group is ... deploying to Afghanistan all day.

Anybody see a problem with this?

I mean if any of those ships manages to actually arrive in Afghanistan we are having some serious issues... and I will believe the folks at Rapture Ready that the Rapture is HERE!

I know what they mean... but those in the nooz should like look at a map from time to time... you do not deploy a NAVY vessel to a LAND LOCKED country... and they do not even have the excuse that this is a new war...

I know that Muricans are supposed to be ignorant and shit, but there was a time when media people took it a little more seriously and bothered looking at maps.

1. Navy Air been there since start of conflict
IIRC they use an Air Corridor over Pakistan to get there.
I suppose one could say they were headed for the Arabian Sea. But will the news consumer know where that is?

3. GEO has to be over the equator...
No part of Afghanistan lies anywhere near the equator.
