My weather radio has been going off regularly since about 10 this morning. Mine also covers nearby GA counties - severe thunderstorm warnings for most of the day, complete with downpours, high winds, close lightening with hail once today.

I will admit that when the wind was blowing earlier, with hail, and the first two huge claps of thunder my sphincter tightened a little bit, along with a 'not this shit again.' It's quietly raining here now and hopefully it will clear out sooner than later for you! :hug:

My oldest was leaving to go to work at a local state park when a major bit of nastiness including close lightening and big thunderboomers were about. He works in basically a shack on the lake at the end of a long boat ramp. Lovely, eh?

21. Yup, I live in Woodstock in Cherokee County.

I have been glued to the TV since 4 p.m. watching the weather reports. It's finally gone now. But that thunder was really scary. Fortunately, there was no lightning. I am in total fear now when severe weather is predicted, especially since April when the tornado hit Cartersville that is just a few miles up the road from Woodstock. The tornado sirens were blasting that day and freaked me out. Thankfully, the tornado skipped over Woodstock. I live in a mobile home and there is nowhere to run should one hit my area. The nearest shelter is in Kennesaw and I would never have time to get there, plus I have 3 dogs and would never leave them.
