Guess who is behind the latest push for corporate campaign donations. Probably not who you think

< article >

In a ruling issued late Thursday, U.S. District Judge James Cacheris tossed out part of an indictment against two men accused of illegally reimbursing donors to Hillary Clinton's Senate and presidential campaigns.

Cacheris says that under the Citizens United decision, corporations enjoy the same rights as individuals to contribute to campaigns.

So Hillary is in on the corporate funding action too. Not really a surprise considering their relationship with the DLC and the corporatist Dems but its sad to know that its not just the Republicans who are letting the corporate bucks influence elections.

1. If the other side it doing it
I couldn't give a shit less that Clinton or any other Dem is doing it. Only fools and eventual losers hold up the "but it's not what I consider right" card.

The minute the SC and their masters in the corporate world were able to get corporations pretty much carte blanch in the funding game it became legal and everyone is going to use it.

2. This is one of the basis for founding the DLC. To have a Pro-Busines
Wing of Democratic Party.

Bingo. Rahm et al positively salivated over access to the big corproate bucks the GOPers were getting to win their elections. They wanted access to that cash cow, and pro-business "Dems" were just the ticket.

4. Of course, if any Dem does it, they end up voting corporate values over Dem values
but hey, as long as the have the Dem label, they can vote to the right of Attila the Hun and it's all kosher, right?

No politician whose values I have any respect for will get any corporate money, not because they won't take it, but because no corporation would offer money to someone with those values.
