About 300 Tennessee soldiers leaving for Iraq
that's right.....iraq

Approximately 300 soldiers from the Tennessee
Army National Guard's 230th Sustainment Brigade,
with elements in Chattanooga and Millington, will
leave this week for deployment to Iraq.

Millington's Early Entry Element of some 70 soldiers
is to depart Thursday for Chattanooga, where they
join up with the main body of the brigade,
approximately 240 soldiers. The entire brigade
leaves Chattanooga Saturday.

The brigade, headquartered in Chattanooga, is
designed to assist combat service and support
units. Such a brigade allows the Army to manage the
flow of logistics.
