Keith Olbermann Rips Heartless Eric Cantor's Playing Games Against Tornado Victims
by alaprst

June 20 can't come too soon for me. That's the day "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" returns to the airwaves on CurrentTV (Time Warner Cable channel 229 where I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area).
And what makes me anticipate this occasion even more is commentaries like the one that appears on Keith's web site exposing the moral bankruptcy of House Republican leader Eric Cantor.
For those who haven't seen Keith's newly-designed web site...type in http://www.foknewschannel.com. (SEE VIDEO)

More below.

In the commentary, not only does Keith Olbermann call what Cantor said "shameful" (which is an understatement), he also called for him to resign his House leadership post if not resign from his House seat.
I also demand the same for those who keep pressing Cantor's insistance on holding tornado relief aid hostage to spending cuts (not to mention the Republicans' insistance on keeping tax cuts for the richest 1 percent alive). Politicians like Cantor and my area's shame of a representative, Pete Sessions (TX-32), have no place in the House of Representatives as they pursue morally irresponsible legislation as continuing tax cuts for the richest 1 percent at the expense of our most vulnerable.
Republicans who insist on disenfranchising those most likely to vote against them under the canard of "voter fraud" must also be removed from office, whether they hold state legislative posts or anything else.
The Republican party has no business in any government role giving the irresponsible and morally corrupt policies it has pursued, and Eric Cantor's cruel maneuvers that Keith exposes brings it out all the more.

3. Unfortunately Keith's website isn't a very powerful forum when compared to his cancelled show -
- and having a show on CurrentTV isn't going to be much better. Not enough people get it and among those who do get it, not enough people watch it --and those who do are those of us already 'leaning forward' anyway.

I LOVED watching Keith and miss him a lot. But when they took him off MSNBC they pretty much effectively shut him up in the eyes of the general public.

4. the Canadian government did a similar thing.
they refused to use the army to help flood victims this spring. the government basically said that private contractors should do this work because they needed the money. it was`t the armies job to help.

needless to say the government reserved it`s decision.

5. Republicans don't care about people, they only care about corporations and the almighty dollar.
They prove that over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
again!
