21. In your opinion, is there any negative trait that's more frequent in RW people than in LW people?

27. Racism? Is it false that a higher percentage of RW people are racist than of LW people?

33. You might conduct a random survey, but one cannot guarantee the respondents will
answer truthfully as to whether they are RW, LW, or even racist.

Some may even refuse to participate.

34. You don't use surveys to measure that, of course.
You just have to look around, and see what people do and say.

A pattern emerges. Don't you think?

35. Do you mean 'do I ever think' when you ask "Don't you think?" or do you
mean perhaps I agree that a pattern emerges?

40. Conservative minds do not do well with humor, for some very
good reasons. This is not simply political conservatism, but all forms. The dynamics that create comedy do not well serve those who actually like the status quo and authority, those who think social status is important. This is why conservative people can be amused, but are rarely amusing. They are DuMont to the liberal's Groucho.

38. Well, you know that and I know that.
But... the right-wing troll above seems to disagree. In fact, I bet he thinks the opposite is true. Not that he'll admit it.

5. We always ask, "Who would believe these crazy right-wing lies?"
These people would. They don't have the part of the brain that says "Oh come on now, wait a minute" when confronted by something impossible. Instead, conservatives immediately fly into a rage.

One really shouldn't have to research or cross-check a story about an $8 billion "Abortionplex", should one? It's absurd on its face.

7. I love the Onion but didn't like them running that article, for the obvjous reason
that you have demonstrated - some people just don't know it's satire.

And even those who know the Onion is satire, could possibly see the headline, not see that it's the Onion, and being Planned Parenthood -phobic, think it's for real. The right wing feeds them all kinds of crazy stuff already. If they believe that, why not this?

10. I bet they liked this article: "NASCAR Awards Driver $50,000 For Homophobic Comments"
CHARLOTTE, NC—NASCAR took direct and immediate action Wednesday in response to homophobic slurs made by driver Kyle Busch last weekend, levying an award of $50,000 to the popular Sprint Cup star.

NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston said he had reviewed the incident, in which Busch was caught on videotape uttering several common antigay words and phrases after Saturday’s Sprint All-Star race, and found Busch's conduct "insensitive, uneducated, unenlightened, and in keeping with the finest traditions of stock car racing."

"This perfectly exemplifies what NASCAR is all about," Potson told reporters. "We believe that Mr. Busch's ignorant comments are reflective of our organization as a whole and, furthermore, that Mr. Busch is the personification of the sort of family-oriented everyday American values for which our sport is known."

“Congratulation, Kyle,” Poston added. “I thank you. NASCAR thanks you. Its fans thank you. And I hope there are many more derogatory slurs against homosexuals to come.”

they are used to being spoon-fed a right-wing "reality" that consists of lies and disinformation.

It's no shocker that they have a problem discerning fact from fantasy.

C'mon, give 'em a break!

22. I LOVE THE ONION.
And when I saw that headline I thought it was great. Especially after hearing that only 3% of what actually takes place at PP is abortion and the rest is other health services. If they're going to get it wrong, get it totally freakin' wrong and then start from nothing and get it right.
