Japan doubles radiation release estimate
Jun 6, 2011, 12:51 GMT

Tokyo - The Japanese government more than doubled its estimate Monday for the amount of radioactivity released from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station and warned it could extend the exclusion zone around the stricken plant.

The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said released radioactivity was believed to have totaled 770,000 terabecquerels over the period March 11 to March 16.

1. Yes, I knew this was Fukushima related just from the title!
Nothing like preventing panic by lying to your people as you expose them to radioactivity that truly is something to panic about.....

2. Panic?
How many people who weren't so trusting of the government, for good reason, evacuated themselves and their families right into the areas of high radiation do you think?

How would you feel if you were one of them?
