3. I amost never listen to NPR any more.
I listen to Amy Goodman and BBC, both carried on my local community radio station. I watch Rachel Maddow every evening, read the local newspaper, and feel reasonably well-informed about things.

7. No TV at all in my house, but I
do have the internets, which is how I watch Rachel.

Also, during any kind of important story it will often be streamed somewhere. The day of the Joplin tornado I spent most of the evening watching the live feed from a weather channel meteorologist who had arrived in that city about twenty minutes after the tornado destroyed everything, and it was totally fascinating. Some helpful person here on DU had posted the link.

6. Agreed...
I stopped listening to NPR when it had Cokie Roberts "report" on the Bush "charm offensive" during the 2000 campaign. :puke:

I do like listening to Amy Goodman on "Democracy Now!" Her reports are substantial and cover a lot of important topics and developments not covered by CorpMedia...
