California police get a bad rap... I praise them this week
Tuesday morning, my husband did the bonehead move of the year..

He started the car & came back inside because it was cold..

2 minutes later he went out to find a big empty spot where the car had been.

I called the police immediately

Tuesday 6:05 AM

Thursday 6:20 AM, the Long Beach Police Dept called to inform us that they had our car..undamaged.

It was a drag to have to go there to get it & to pay $250 to the impound yard, but it saved us the expense of having to buy a commuter car for the remaining couple of years left to work that he has before retiring:)

It was also a hassle to have to call people all day Tuesday to cancel this & change that, etc. but I am amazed that they found our car so fast..

Honda Accords are stolen a LOT around here, so I thought we'd never see the poor old thing again:)

The best part of the event is that it was HIS "boo-boo" & not mine

3. Mine either. Fortunately, I've never had an encounter with Maricopa County SO (knock on wood).
Phoenix cops have been outstanding on the few occasions I've needed tham, though.
