I have been complaining about this shit for about 50 years now and it hasn't don't one bit of good. Made me feel a little better but it never changed a damn thing.

Only effective way I ever found that kind of equalized things just a tiny little bit was by going on strike. Nothing else worked at all.

So do you think complaining about something we are never going to change is a productive way to spend our time? Or not?

1. Isn't that what the local-vist, yes magazine,
Environmental activism stuff is for?

Why aren't you doing any of that?

Some of us are doing stuff.

Admittedly I'm setting aside Democratic politics more and more.

3. I think it does do good because it keeps the question in people's mind.

The other side is always floating memes like "America is a classless society" (from my growing up years) and more lately, people criticize the discussion by calling is "class warfare" like that's a bad thing. All of the needs push back or people stop thinking about it, imo.

4. It's worthless
Most people on the Left truly believe that bitterly complaining will lead to social change by means of some kind of hundred-monkeys magic. We act as if the people we elect should do social activism for us, which is like expecting the receptionist at an I.T. company to code a piece of software.

And the anger! The self-righteousness! The "I've got a Conscience!" braggadocio ... oy!

We should be doing stuff that scares the shit out of the rich and pampered and religionizing, and attracts the lenses of TV cameras. (Violence is not necessary; creativity is.)

5. Probably not but I think we should gripe about anyway. You never
know what might happen.

6. Better to complain about the SYSTEM that let's them get rich
People have been bitching about 'the rich get richer and the poor get poorer' for ages and ages.

Time to explain that Capitalism must die

7. Yes it will: at least it will make me feel better to have done so.
But I am skeptical that it will have any effect on the rich getting richer.

8. It's called education .................
(or maybe agitation :)). In times of economic hardship, pointing the finger at the ones who are CAUSING the economic hardship is the right thing to do. It may change some minds, so yes, go ahead and bitch. Capitalism is Satanic.

9. It keeps us from going postal.
You gotta vent sometimes. Especially in this day and age where the feeling of powerlessness is invading every walk of life except for the rich.

11. How about a slight shift? Complaining about the rich denying hard-working...
...tax-paying Americans the opportunities we deserve, by pillaging our public coffers?

It's all about framing.
