Creep
School board member is broadcasting twice daily attacks on Martin Luther King

"A member of the Greeley-Evans School District 6 board of education is using his radio station twice daily to broadcast an attack on the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., calling the slain civil rights leader a sexual degenerate, plagiarist and “modern-day plastic god.”

In the broadcast, Brett Reese, owner of 104.7 FM Pirate Radio, reads a letter that he said came from a listener three years ago. He said it does not necessarily reflect his own thoughts or ideas — although he did not disavow the message, either, in an e-mail exchange with the Tribune on Friday — but he said he believes in the open discussion of history. He also said he does not know who actually wrote the letter." . . .

Yep, this the same yahoo who swaggers into political debates wearing a gun on his belt, thinks public education should be demolished, and has caused the school district to have an armed sargeant-at-arms at school board meetings. And he home-schools his own children...

1. Hmmm
maybe the FCC needs to pay this little pirate station a visit. I know people that got their equipment taken for a lot less than this.

4. No comments allowed.
The Greeley Tribune, which remains silent when online readers post frequent nasty comments about Obama and liberals/Democrats, has suspended the comments function on this story due to its "sensitive nature".

Yesterday afternoon there were about eight or nine comments posted, only a couple of them supported Reese. Today's paper has the full story - without comments function. And today's version also includes a link to a recording of the broadcast. In effect, the newspaper has chosen to promote the bigot while silencing a number of those who hold an opposing view.

Crap.
