Then, there is this story, which also mentions the Pence amendment. Seems that Planned Parenthood workers in Columbus, Ohio, fell prey to an Acorn-type scam/setup, which of course, "proves" PP's nefarious motives:

Pence says he has no problem with the other services Planned Parenthood provides, but somehow any service PP does is always tied to abortion with almost all pro-lifers. They want PP gone, period -- they should have the guts to say as much, instead of hiding behind their "concern" for the poor, which any cuts to PP in whatever capacity with ultimately harm.

He's supposedly making some trip down South this week. There was some thought he might be considering running for governor of Indiana, but I don't think that job will be enough for Mike. This early, shameless pander to pro-lifers proves that.

3. Is this the Acorn strategy all over again?

If so, it will fail. Why? Because they won't be able to character assassin PP as successfully as they did Acorn. Acorn was easier because it was perceived by a gullible and racist streak in our society that perceives any agency trying to help largely poor, nonwhite people as serving "welfare queens."

Planned Parenthood serves a broad swath of American women in just about every economic group. It is not perceived as a "black" organization (whatever that racist definition is). The truth is that Planned Parenthood is sometimes the only place low income women can go for some primary care assistance, along with family planning. But there are also a LOT of American women -- one in 4 by PP estimates -- who have sought the services of PP at some time in their lives. High School and college kids all across the country have been spared an unwanted pregnancy, and indeed spared an abortion, because of PP.

Planned Parenthood does more to prevent abortions than any other single organizations.

Mr. Pence better fold his tent early...he ain't gonna win this one...

The ability of the haters to destroy organizations that help people still shocks me and makes me sick...makes me more motivated to speak out in my own fundamentalist, conservative community.

8. Sad to say, the Acorns of the world have MUCH more suspicion heaped on them

than PP. I think it has to do with the fact that white, upper class and upper middle class women founded Planned Parenthood and in many cities its Boards of Directors are heavily from that strata of society. And that is why Pence is on a fool's errand...he's got his band of anti choice zealots and that's about it...

"I want to give money because there are too many black people in Ohio" --- please.

And I hope you're right too, but this group has also injected Margaret Sanger and her eugenics theory in the debate, which has been a powerful talking point for pro-birthers and the Right for years. The politicization of women's health...when will it end? Pence knows who to play to and how. I seriously expect him to enter the primaries with some support.

- womb bosses and snake handlers will get much traction in 2012. Those issues, like gun control serve only to distract the masses while the politicians serve their corporate handlers. A reversal of RVW is not going to happen. Planned Parenthood will survive and continue helping women no matter what that creep says.
