as well as clinic staff and at least one police officer killed.

In the interest of not forgetting the sacrifices these doctors made, in addition to Dr. Tiller (2009) they were:

March 10, 1993: Dr. David Gunn of Pensacola, Florida
July 29, 1994: Dr. John Britton in Pensacola, Florida
October 23, 1998: Dr. Barnett Slepian at his home in Amherst, New York.


All of these were political assassinations and while I do not want to take anything away from Dr. Tiller, I am saddened that the sacrifice of these other physicians (not to mention their staff members) is quickly being forgotten.

During a December, 1971 rally at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), undercover FBI agents recorded remarks made by Lennon and others. This is only one case of many, all pointing to a pattern of consistent governmental spying upon Lennon. Under the Freedom of Information Act, Bresler obtained U.S. government files on Lennon. The government had extra leverage in its efforts due to a previous conviction against Lennon which charged him with "moral turpitude." On October 18, 1968, in Britain, Lennon and Ono had been arrested and charged with possession of 1.5 ounces of marijuana.
