Two things of note... Life flight, or whatever name they got responded, but the local tv channel chopper, a Bell, was also used for transport.

I was reminded of the time we improvised a bell from the Mexican chp to fly a patient. Yes, they can...but that tells me that they had many critical patients. The Life flight bird is a Dauphin, a French bird, with a two patient capacity. The newsy bird has capacity for one, when configured for that. For the record they are easy to configure, but that was telling to me. No wonder our local newsies did not, and it looks like they were somewhat strained on scene, as in six personnel per gurney.

As they say, random thoughts on this and how far we have been removed from things like this.
