Believe me when I say we have a difficult time ahead of us. But if we are to be prepared for it, we must first shed our fear of it.
Here I stand, as a Democrat, saddened and shaken by today's events in Arizona, but I am not afraid. Not because I believe something that you do not, but I remember.
I remember that I am here not because of the path that lies before me, as a Democrat, but because of the path that lies behind me, as someone who once voted for Republicans before I woke up. I remember that for eight years, we have watched as our nation has been oppressed by the worst that the Republican Party has to offer. I remember that for every minute of those eight years, they have sought to destroy us in the public square, and these horrific years I remember that which matters most...
We, as Democrats, are still here. And our ranks have increased and gained strength during those eight years as the truth of the Bush administration became clearer to more and more Americans.
Today, let us send a message to the Republicans, the teabaggers, and anyone who wishes to inflict bodily injury on Democratic legislators or candidates. Tonight, let us shake the Internet with our message. Tonight, let us tremble our homes, our neighborhoods, our communities, our towns and cities. Let us be heard from the earth to the sky.
Tonight, on behalf of Gabrielle Giffords and the other shooting victims, let us make them remember,
We are Democrats - and we are not afraid.Click this, take the "red pill," and dance your asses off.:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:
