No gun registration laws in Arizona?! Guess I shouldn't be sruprised. n/t

in states with carry laws, there is at least a chance a citizen could stop something like this. In my state of NJ which effectively bans carrying, there is vitually no chance a citizen could stop a lunatic like this.

I want to carry so that I can have a chance at defending myself should the need arise. I also want to be able to defend my home. But it is up to me to decide when I want to engage an adversary.

It is entirely possible that there were people carrying at the scene, and that they decided not to intervene for whatever reason. That is their right.

17. No and you can't. At least I never had to fill out background check form

and have the kid call it into the FBI and state Police prior to getting a firearm. Also they never asked me for two forms of ID before ordering a big mac either.

I don't know if you're from Arizona, but I'm from NH and we have our share of nuts here, too. I think what we have to do is think about the natural beauty of our states and the good people in it, not the negatives. After all, we live in these states and they belong to us, too.

How would gun registration have prevented this crime? How would it helped to have solved this crime?

Even Canada is considering abandoning its gun registration system over massively higher than expected costs and virtually no benefit. It actually has taken Police Officers off the streets (due to the administrative overhead for running such a system).

The whole gun thing reminds me of the RW and muslims - spread fear and use any event you can to bolster your fear, even if the broader numbers put that fear to absolute shame.
