Obama quoted this line from a movie just once during the 2008 campaign but it's enough for the right wingers to point fingers at him as the cause for Gifford's shooting.

Across the board the right wingers ignore the daily deluge of their calls in the media and through the political system for a violent solution to politics and fixate on this one thing Obama said one time...

Some right wingers are trying to cover up this attempted political assassination as antisemitism.

Some right wingers claim the shooter was a Marxist.

Their message is clear, even though the right wing proliferates endless calls for violence against their political opponents, it isn't their fault...

I've been guilty of inflammatory speech myself in my lifetime. Not often, maybe a few times. I remember several years ago an incredibly difficult neighbor and being an ass and I told another neighbor I wished that guy would drop dead. Of course I did not wish him harm, only to stop making all our lives miserable.

This is a reminder to watch what comes out of my own mouth just as much as I expect those with a microphone to the world to do.

Further, she stated, "Thomas Jefferson told us having a revolution every now and then is a good thing and we the people are going to have to fight back if we aren't going to lose our country."

Not only did this assclown call for violence but she got the quote wrong as well...but don't worry, republicans love to vote for cretins...

The Republicans had not brought a knife to anything and Democrats had not brought a gun to anything either.

Trying to relate this to Sarah Palin calling for her true believers to 'reload' and 'target' is a stretch. Using a metaphor from a movie is quite different that putting the cross hairs on an elected official and suggesting a course of action.
