In my opinion, Sarah's celebrity status has undoubtedly led to a minor cult following most of whom are crazy, gun toting morons. Charles Manson did also. After 2 years of posting on other mixed message boards and forums (people from all political stripes) one thing I've noticed is that many RW'ers often praise her as 'messiah-like', some even go as far as to start off their posts with things like "Perfect princess Sarah Palin is a majestic figure, an exquisite brunette beauty" etc etc. You could practically see how brainwashed some of these people were just by their semi-insane online praises and complete ignorance. Couple that with a reality show, a twitter feed, a facebook page and a dot com, all reciting her hatred of our govt and anyone left-leaning and you have the makings of a call for Liberal genocide. The targets on the map stayed on her website at all times. The deeper the 'fans' obsessions become the more literal Palin's supporters start taking her words and actions. Never under estimate the power of hate speech fuelled with a platform to voice ones opinion's i.e. Fox news. This is an extremely sad day in American history, here's the danger: once a society starts killing its politicians and judges, only the corrupt and brutal can or are willing to rule.

Remember, Charles Manson NEVER killed anyone either......And he's serving a life sentence with no chance of parole.

no. He was fairly right in his hate of society and government. Now Jim Jones was very left-wing and he killed far more than Manson with his mass suicide/murders in Jonestown. Though I think politics had little to do with either of them. They were mad men with God-complexes.

Just because he had long hair and took acid doesn't mean he was a hippie pacifist. There was no "life without parole" option when his sentence was commuted following the abolition of the death penalty. Manson has regularly scheduled parole hearings.
