That definitely seems to be the case. Our elected representatives are more concerned with keeping the money flowing than worrying about votes. The caller on the radio went on to say that "the poor doesn't vote"...

Very sad.

1. In this country all of the votes are bought by money. In fact, in the US the
only priority is money and that's all we hear, non-stop. It's a very very said state of affairs. The poor don't vote and they aren't welcome to vote. In short, it sucks.

2. It's true.
And this has been made much worse by the SCOTUS.

7. Not breaking news, but at least they used to "pretend".
They don't even do that anymore.

8. After Citizens United, the need to pretend became passé.
But even before it, green was always more important than blue or red.

4. This country is of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich.
It's been that way since Raygun. Hell you could argue that about our Founding Fathers. The sad thing is that since Raygun, the rich have been completely, totally out of control. And it's not gonna change anytime soon. George Carlin was right - we have owners, and we're just given an illusion that we have a choice. We don't. It's getting to be disgusting.

during the McKinley campaign.
