1. If Boner resigns
does Cantor become Speaker of the House?

:puke:

5. Yes, and thaat would be great for us
He's a crackpot who invested in instruments that would benefit from the economy crashing. I can think of no better poster boy for the loony right.

11. I think there would be a knock-down, drag-out war in the House
to replace him, frankly. Cantor probably isn't the prime choice. I want more confusion and disarray inside the GOP. The more the better.

2. I agree but at this late in the game is that more or less likely to result in default?

7. It is not looking good as it is. See this from Raw Story:
GOP fault lines deepen as Boehner says tea party seeks ‘chaos’ in debt deal

Who would be his replacement? And do you think it would be beneficial to we Democrats, or not?

6. Let the Republicans duke it out in an attempt to decide.
I don't give a crap, really. One's as bad as the other, for the most part. I'd just like throw the GOP into further disarray.

10. So you're with the Tea Party on this?
That's what they want, too. Personally, I think that would be a disaster. If you think things are bad now, what do you think it would be like if Cantor was the speaker?

12. No. I'm with anyone wanting the GOP to splinter even further.
I want total disintegration of the party. What the teabaggers want is irrelevant to me.

20. Your answer makes no sense.
I asked you if you are with the Tea Party on this. You say, "no", then go on to say you're "with anyone wanting the GOP to splinter even further", which is exactly what the Tea Party is trying to achieve-a coup in the House which will definitely splinter the GOP, then overthrow of the govt. Make up your mind. Either you agree with them or you don't.

15. I agree, however, if that happens there would be no doubt in my mind that Obama would have to
exercise the 14th amendment

for the Democrats. Chaos in the Republican ranks is good.

21. As much as I'd like to see the republicans absolutley devour
each other, I don't want them to take the country down with them, and that's what's happening now. It's why we can't get an agreement over the raising the debt ceiling. The repubs who understand the repercussions of allowing us to default have lost all control of the Tea Party, who don't care-who in fact, welcome the chaos and see it as an opportunity to overthrow the govt.

23. I really don't want a crazier wing nut as speaker of the house
Edited on Wed Jul-27-11 09:53 PM by TNLib
I don't like the fact that he's ineffectual as the GOP leader but he's ineffectual because the GOP Congress is loaded with Bat shit crazy lunatics even more so than in past congresses. Like it or not he's the finger in the damn of absolute insanity.
