35. You're right. Sanders is really a Republican and supports McConnell on all things
Actually he's really a teabagger. Justcread his website. It looks like it was written by McConnell or maybe Rand Paul.

4. Bernie Sanders would not win the primary if 40 of liberal Dems liked Obama
What's your point?

Sanders isn't a Democrat anyway, and I seriously doubt he's thinking of becoming one to run a futile primary bid.

8. Most people I know consider themselves Liberal Democrats,
and view Obama the same way. We're off the charts compared to them so yeah, most probably wouldn't vote for Bernie. Although I keep saying, I think his message would reach across all lines, but maybe I just think that because I agree with him so much.

34. Obama losing to Romney in Pennsylvania, poll says
Republican candidate Mitt Romney leads Obama 44%-42% in a new Quinnipiac University poll, well within the margin of error but less than comfortable for an incumbent president.

Obama's approval rating among Pennsylvanians is 43%, with 51% disapproving of his performance in office.

"If it's any consolation to the White House, voters say Obama acted more responsibly than Republicans during the debt ceiling debate, and approval ratings for Congress are just plain miserable," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
--

Pennsylvania voters say 52%-42% that Obama does not deserve to be re-elected, the poll said.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2011/08/obama-losing-to-romney-in-pennsylvania-poll-says/1

Of course, one poll does not a trend make, but the luster is no longer on Obama, and Pennsylvania has always been seen as a bell weather state. As the article states, Obama is doing a Midwest tour for a few days in the middle of August, so he must be aware that he now has a fight on his hands. Like it or not, 2012 will not be the cake walk it should have been. Two months ago I would have laughed at the idea of Obama losing to any GOP candidate. Now I think the chances are around 60-40. The fact that the GOP is completely insane is the best thing he has to his advantage right now, but he has work to do nonetheless.

38. If he were actually running
I would give him the benefit of the doubt and raise it to 50:50. I think he gets Kucinich/Nader numbers everywhere else (2 to 3 percent). Since some states are not "winner take all" for delegates, Bernie could probably collect up a mini van load before the convention.

Don't get me wrong. I like Bernie alot and would love to live in a Country where he would be the obvious choice for President, I am just pretty sure that I don't.

23. Well, sense 83% of liberal Democrats are dissatisfied with the job Obama's doing,
I guess Sanders's primary bid is in business, eh?

"The Post-ABC poll found that the number of liberal Democrats who strongly support Obama’s record on jobs plunged 22 points from 53 percent last year to 31 percent."
<http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/more-americans-unhappy-with-obama-on-economy-jobs/2011/07/25/gIQABJ9sZI_story.html>

I think you need to start reading polls that are more up to date. This ain't 2009 anymore.

I think he wants to run to shake up the president and get him back on track. He needs to know our support is dependent on him maintaining to the values that he ran on in 2008.
