How does the Westboro Baptist Church pay for their trips to funerals?

Like if anyone responds to them by hitting them or throwing things at them they sue for personal damages and use the money for more trips.

Wouldn't be surprised if they had some secret backers as well.

2. Several adult family members are attorneys & the sue everybody...

Per wiki: "WBC, through the closely related Phelps Chartered law firm, has collected fees under the Civil Rights Attorney's Fees Award Act of 1976 when their protests have been unlawfully disrupted."

The rest of the family have jobs and they benefit from the IRS code: if you are "donating" that money to a "church"... it's a tax deduction, right?
