I didn't listen to palin's 4-day late scripted remarks, but I did read the comments over at HP.

What signal is she sending, and to whom precisely, with the reference to "blood libel"?

Blood libel is the accusation of conducting human sacrifice, historically leveled at Jews. How does this apply? Is it simply the victim card, that we are somehow sacrificing her? Or is there something more nefarious, some sort of signal to the faithful that means something to those in the know (akin, perhaps, to the black helicopter codes on the back of traffic signs)?

1. I am really beginning to wonder...I posted earlier that her use of

the term probably was out of stupidity but I'm beginning to wonder if this is some sort of code. Is there any way to find out if this is some sort of code with the rabid right?
