Before Sarah Palin posted her Facebook provocation this morning accusing the media of committing "blood libel" for connecting some of her statements to the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), that phrase was being batted around by the conservative media.

Andrew Brietbart used the phrase in a tweet last night (though it's likely Palin's video, posted in the early morning hours Wednesday, was filmed before that tweet).

"Blood libel" popped up in a Wall Street Journal op-ed by professor and Pajamas TV host Glenn Reynolds. "Where is the decency in blood libel?" he wrote on Monday, Jan. 10.

Adam Graham of Renew America was the first to use the phrase in reference to the Tucson shootings, according to a search of Google News.

but I guess that none of them will dare use the 'blood libel' phrase again, now that Crosshairs Palin is being put through the wringer for it. Funny that the anti-Semitic connotations never occurred to a single one of those clods until Palin started catching flak for it; they just toss around phrases that they hear in 'the hive' without regard to history or people's feelings.

5. Palin's Next Facebook Provocation Will Be Her Defense In Using The Term.....

'blood libel' and that she was simply repeating what others were saying.

She will continue to dig herself a hole she won't be able to dig out of.

I just saw a small clip of her complete video and I have two observations. She looked combative instead of any expression of sympathy for the people wounded or killed. She also looks like she is putting on weight - kind of a chubby face.
