I must I admit that I was ticked off when – FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY - a House Speaker refused a President’s request to appear before a Joint Session of Congress. When the President was forced to change the date to September 18th, I felt that he caved in to ‘NO IT ALL’ BOEHNER’S INFANTILE refusal. After conducting research on the matter, I, now, understand that the President of the United States DOES NOT have the Constitutional powers to override a House Speaker’s decision on matters of that nature.
I, further, realized that by refusing the President’s request, ‘NO IT ALL’ BOEHNER, actually, did President Obama a favor. The Tea Partied Republican Presidential Candidate Debate was scheduled to be held AFTER the President’s Joint Session Jobs Plan delivery. So far, Tea Partied Republican candidates have focused their campaign rhetoric on bashing President Obama instead of on NON TEA PARTIED, logical, factual, realistic measures they can offer to run the country in addition to twisting, turning and MISINFORMING the public on the President’s job performance.
Although it turns my stomach to do so, I have to give credit where credit is due. In his attempt to demean the President, ‘NO IT ALL’ BOEHNER, unwittingly, put his Tea Partied Republican presidential candidates in a pickle related to any job creation questions that will, most certainly, pop up during their September 17th debate. Now they will be forced to come up with UNSCRIPTED, ORIGINAL jobs creation ideas without having President’ Obama’s Jobs Plan to reLIE upon!
