My Rant Of Yesterday In Response To My Friend That's Reading A Book About 9/11 & Considering Voting.
for Romney should he be the nominee. The 9/11 book he is reading is pointing out how inept Washington was during the goings on that day. I don't know but I'm thinking he's associating the ineptness of the Bush Administration with the Obama Administration and the difference is completely 180.

Here is my impromptu rant:

I think you know how I feel about 9/11. If you look what has happened since that day - this country has been taken down the drain. Funny how the Project For The New (PNAC) talked about the fact that their plan would need a 'new Pearl Harbor' in order for it to go into effect. Funny how the Patriot Act was already written and was voted on to go into effect even though the majority of those who voted on it didn't even read it. Funny how we were ready to take out Saddam Hussain when he had nothing to do with 9/11. Funny how the wars were not budgeted and how they contributed to get us into the economic hole we're into today. Funny how Bush & Co put all those inept people in important positions to make it look like the government failed us ("Brownie you're doing a heck of a job"). That's the MO of the Repugs. Put inept people in control of government functions - let them fail - and then say how government is not working for us and that we need less government in our lives. Just look at how well organized the Obama administration was this past week with Hurricaine Irene. That's the difference between the parties. Even the Repug Governors are complimenting them. Do you think Brownie - even with what he learned after Katrina would have been able to pull off what this administration did.

Funny how the Repugs took this country down the drain and they are now blaming it all on Obama. Funny how Mitch McConnell's only mission in the Senate is to make Obama a one term President. Funny how they used the filibuster to twart most every effort Obama made to turn this country around. Funny how they are still not cooperating in a bipartisan manner to turn this country around. Funny how the Repugs ran on a 'jobs' platform in 2010 and still haven't made any effort to help create jobs - instead they took up the deficit reduction cause - which they didn't care about during the previous 8 year run of Repug control. I could go on and on with these 'funnies' and I don't mean funny in a ha ha way. I mean funny in a weird, contrived and organized and planned way.

Washington was so inept during BushCo because they wanted it that way. Come on - our military on maneuvers on 9/11. We weren't able to scramble our defensive jets up to protect us. The Pentagon was attacked? The Pentagon - the very seat of our military? If you wanted to make a statement to scare the hell out of the American people - what better way. No - I watched it unravel on TV that day and didn't believe the story then and I still don't believe the story now. How many buildings went down that day. Most people say 2 - the two towers. But building 7 went down the same way and it wasn't hit by a plane. Watch those videos of the towers coming down and then google implosions of buildings and watch those videos. Hmmmmm..... strangely similar. Bush's reaction in the classroom - and now he's trying to justify his actions on a history altering National Geographic special. Did you know that in 2001 a joint venture between Nat. Geo TV & Film and Fox Broadcasting Comp was launched? Hmmm.... Fox Broadcasting - where have I heard about them before. Rupert.... Hmmmm...... of phone hacking scandal fame in the UK. Of Fox News fame - "Fair and Balanced"? Oh - that Rupert.

And then there's Cheney. He gets this paragraph all to himself. On a book tour to alter history. Lies and more lies. Proud to torture. This guy is evil personified. Even his own colleagues are now calling him a liar. But hey - the MSM gives him the forum - so he might as well go out there and try and drum up support for his new re-writing of history.

No - I don't believe the story they fed us about 9/11 and probably never will. This country was methodically taken down. Probably started way before the Supreme Court stole the election from Gore in 2000. Just follow the dots. You can probably trace the beginnings of the downfall to Reagan's tenure.

No I won't be voting for any Repug in 2012. They are all corrupt and they will continue to take this country down the tubes until we're a 3rd world country. Do you really think that Romney is any better? Look who is backing Romney. Did you ever hear of the name Karl Rove? Where have I heard that name before? Hmmm...... Do you really think that Romney is going to protect your Social Security and Medicare? Guess again. No - Sir - the only hope we now have is to re-elect Obama and give him the Senate and the House. If we don't - we're going to move along the same path we've been. Stonewalling by the Repugs. Partisan pettiness and bickering and moving further down the rabbit hole.

Obama may look inept but without cooperation by the other side - he won't be able to turn this around by himself. They are cutting him off at the pass every chance they get. I'm confident that if Obama gets a second term and if we can maintain the Senate and hopefully regain the House - this country will be on the move again. The Banksters, Wall Street and the Corporatists don't want him to get that 2nd term. That's why they are sitting on all that money and not being cooperative with Obama. They are greedy and they want to do away with even more regulations and be taxed even less. They want to see him fail so they can run roughshod over us like before. What other bubbles will they burst?

Can't you see it? Do you really think that we are going to solve this problem on the backs of the middle class and the poor? Do you really think that if the wealthy in this country continue not contributing to the pot that they'll create jobs?

Jobs are created based on demand. If the people that we depend upon to spend money don't have it - then - there will be no demand. No demand. No jobs. Plain and simple. We need to put money in the hands of the people that will spend the money on homes, cars, vacations, restaurants, appliances, clothes, etc, etc, etc. Once that money gets pumped into the system and demand is created - this economy will churn again. Jobs will return to meet the demand. Taxes will be paid. Property taxes. Sales taxes. State taxes. Social Security taxes. Our so-called (by the Repugs) "entitlement" programs will again prosper. Hell - all they have to do is raise the cap and Social Security will prosper. Just listen to your buddy - Warren Buffet. He's got it right. Deficit reduction - I think not. We need to spend our way out of this and my only criticism of Obama is that he didn't make the first stimulus more stimulating. I hope he will be real bold in his speech on jobs next week. God knows that the infrastructure of this country needs work. I'm fortunate that I've been well traveled and have seen how other countries in this world are leaps and bounds ahead of us. Our media keeps selling us a phoney story that we're this great country - but all you need to do is visit some other countries to see how far advanced they are with technology, transportation systems, health care, education, etc. We're falling behind more and more every day.

The fixes are there and they are right in front of us to do. But when you have a party - the Repugs - that are intent on not cooperating and not wanting this to happen - what do you expect.

So if you want more of the same - Vote for Romney. Vote for Perry. Vote for Bachmann. Vote for Palin. Vote for Santorum. Vote for any of the crazies on that side - and you'll get more of what we just got out of when Bush left office. Any of those Repug candidates will be the same ole - same ole. Less government. Less taxes on the rich. Trickle down. Get rid of the so-called entitlement programs. Pray to Jesus - and guess what - all will be good again. But for whom?

Look at how scared the Repugs are running. Look at what the Repug governors are doing in Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, etc. That is a concerted effort by their party and part and parcel to the bringing down of Obama. They are so afraid - that they even ran fictitious candidates in Wisconsin so that they could maintain their power. They are all still working on disenfranchising voters for 2012. They are doing everything that they can to get back in control. And if they succeed there will be no chance for a future Dem candidate to turn this around - because they will successfully do everything in their power to not let that happen. Remember - it was Rove that was predicting a century of Repug leadership. Fortunately we had a candidate that caught the attention of the American people to turn out in numbers that wouldn't let them steal another election without being really obvious. They had to live with Obama. But that didn't stop their quest. It just delayed it a bit. In their mind by 4 years. Cause they are doing everything in their power to make Obama out to be the bad guy and sway the psyche of the American People. And it looks like they are doing a damn good job of it.

Just look at it from the perspective of the Supreme Court. Now slanted right by Bush. Ever hear of Citizen's United? Really - corporations are people? Your boy Romney believes that. If the Repugs win back the WH in 2012 there's a good chance that a couple of the now Justices will be retiring. Guess what type of new judges they will appoint? If for only that reason - I would want Obama in for another term to prevent that from happening. Because without balancing out the Supreme Court - the fate of this country will be sealed for decades to come - no matter who is in the WH.

Talking about retirement. I really don't see any chance of me being able to retire given the current state of things. My bet is on the Democrats and Obama - that is the only hope I see that we'll be able to turn this around and maybe I'll be able to enjoy old age.

I don't have any kids - but I feel for the next generations of the youth that will be reduced to indentured servants. Think about the future for your kids. What will they have to face? Who will at least give them a fighting chance?

Thanks again Sir - for giving me a chance to vent. I don't know if you send me e-mails like this - just to goad me into venting or if you really are drinking the Repug 'Kool Aid'. Oops I almost typed 'Kook Aid'.

Now I suppose that I'll be subject to all kinds of guff here on DU if the posts of yesterday are any indication. Now in the DU I signed up for - back after 9/11 - I would have had almost full support of my rant. But this discussion board has changed. I feel real sad about the fact that many here on DU have also drank the Kool (Kook) - Aid
