3. You're not alone
He was an MLB pitcher (Phillies and Yankees). But I don't think he participated in the Challenge.

4. I actually googled him just now, looking for a clue...
but found nothing that would connect the two. Perhaps the poster meant to respond to another posting?

6. Just happened upon the thread and commented humorously?, he was
a September Sensation for the Phillies in 1980, when they won the world series, going 5-0 in that month with 1.5 ERA when called up from the minors.

7. Oh, thanks! That solves the mystery!
It wasn't very imaginative of me to come up with that title, I guess...

Thanks so much for chiming in...and hey, why don't you try your hand at the Challenge next week?

9. Visited Philadelphia Museum of Art day after daughter's wedding.
Edited on Sat Sep-03-11 11:00 PM by elleng
Went w brother, s-i-l, niece + nephew. Nice. Could spend only 1-2 hours, but enjoyed collection of some unusual pieces by traditional 1850-1920 artists. Some interesting juxtapositions. In particular, they had a 'different' Monet/Giverny, done after the traditional one. Can't find it on-line, tho.

12. That museum is one of the country's finest! I often fantasize that I can just hop on a train
and spend a day there, but honestly there's so much up here that my to-do list is backlogged!

Going to the MFA's Monet and Lichtenstein exhibit before it closes and to the Gardner to see the Sargent's Sept. 15 & 16 with dtr.

I'm dying to hear about the wedding! Pics and your narrative!

17. I loved the Piazza Navone! Bernini fountains!
The Trastevere sounds like a great part of Rome to explore. I didn't have enough time when I was there because I spent a lot of time running from Caravaggio to Caravaggio, tracking down as many of them as I could! Would like to go back, tho!

19. MUST return to Rome! (+ Firenze +++.)
Amy stayed in Trastevere during her Jr. Year, and I visited her there. Nice 'little' segment of the city.
