How can Fright-Wingers say Govt spending is out of control?
They are so full of shit. Sure, the last administration blew through a surplus, but they spent it on PRIVATE SECTOR mercenaries, they spent it on bailing out the PRIVATE SECTOR financial industry, they spent it on a prescription drug plan that benefits the PRIVATE SECTOR, they spent it on tax cuts for the rich. Seems like the PRIVATE SECTOR spending is out of control, the Govt just keeps subsidizing them. Ironically, if the Govt DIDN'T interfere in any of these ventures, US on the Left would be happy, while the Govt-haters on the right would be furious.

Remember, the Govt ISN'T in the business of turning profits, they are in the business of spending money and investing in America. The RW idiots believe all Govt spending is bad, yet without Govt spending their beloved private sector would have collapsed long ago, no doubt leading to their worst nightmare, Socialism. Funny what a tangled web they've weaved. Hate the Govt for stepping in while simultaneously hating the Govt for not stepping in. All the best of everything without paying for any of it, just like their view on taxes. What do they actually stand for?

Capitalize the profits, socialize the losses. Govt spending isn't out of control, at least not theoretically, we would be fully sustainable, it's just that corporations are so terrible with their own finances that they are always looking for a handout from the Govt. There is NO corporation with a better track record than our Govt, 235 years with one central Govt, hundreds of thousands of corporations have come and gone, failed in that same period.

We don't have a spending problem, we have a revenue problem. You can't produce revenue when taxes are at their lowest rate in 50 years. The GOP wants to balance the budget on the backs of the people who didn't get us into this mess, the billionaires got us into this mess. I have no stock portfolio, I'm not exploiting foreign workers instead of hiring American workers, I didn't gamble people's life-savings on Wall St., I didn't send soldiers to war, the super-wealthy did. I didn't mis-manage the Federal Budget for the last decade. etc. As a matter of fact I PAY TAXES! Why would the Govt take out their fuck-ups on people who didn't cause it in the first place?!

Seems like nothing has caused our country more "out-of-control spending" than giant corporate conglomerate private sector fuck-ups. (Including private sector like Halliburton/Blackwater and every other corporation milking the Govt for money, REAL money, billions and trillions of dollars kind of money, yet these assholes want to cut peoples unemployment benefits because they think we need more RPGs for Afghanistan).

Fuck Austerity. Fuck Fascism. America, stop bending over for corporations that hate you. You are being used. It's heartbreaking to see. Taxes lowest they've been in 50 years, corporate profits highest they've been in 60 years, we bail out the banks, they hoard the cash, do we get a thank you? NO. Sorry to break this to you America, but you were just a fling, they're now dating someone else named China now. Reclaim your dignity. Show them you don't need them, they need you.

and they love hearing it.. because it reinforces their beliefs and makes them feel that they knew the correct answer all the time.

The Repubs have studied their audience and preach to their choir.

That's just my opinion, for what it is worth. :)

Edit: at least that helps to explain Palin's speech and the adoration of her audience.

6. You answered your own question in your first sentence.
"How can Fright-Wingers say Govt spending is out of control?"
"They are so full of shit."

There isn't any fancier, deeper explanation. And there's no pony buried under there, either. In case you hadn't noticed, that's weasel shit, not horseshit.
