I believe the maladjustment of snark meters and other such detection equipment such as BS gauges stems from the operation of Poe's Law.

18. It's not just the Republicans who are talking about cutting

the social safety in this country. And people on SS have already had their benefits cut over the past two years. An absolutely unforgivable step taken by a Democratic administration.

Ignoring the role of Democrats in what is being proposed for these programs won't change the fact that people know their SS checks are smaller, when the right thing to do would have been to increase benefits, putting more money into the economy, and the money wouldn't even have come from the Government, but from the people's own fund.
