Bin Laden and his henchmen failed ... But our own fear won. Fear stopped us, overwhelmed us, as our ra-tion-al-ity deserted us. Yes, it was understandable, given what we endured that September morning. But we need to admit that our response was close to fatal. A bankrupted America that tortured innocents and disregarded its own Constitution is barely recognizable as America.

1. Yes, whenever I am forced to take shoes off
I think of that grinning bastard, Richard Reid. If he weren't in solitary, I'd contribute to a fund to put a few bucks in his cellmate's commissary fund, in exchange for certain 'services'.

2. As horrendous as the 9/11 attack was, the absolute fear
across the country was stoked by the showing and re-showing the scenes from the airplanes hitting the buildings and the buildings collapsing, the media ran it constantly for about a month.

It was like being in a bad auto accident and the scene replays ad infinitum in the mind until the passage of time helps erase the pain.

Now we only get the replay of the 9/11 attack on the anniversary, but enough to restart the fear in a lot of people. Is it by design, or happenstance?

3. Let's not forget the anthrax attacks
shortly after 9/11. The anthrax was almost certainly an inside job, whereas 9/11 was more likely LIHOP than MIHOP.

4. When did Obama step back from war, I missed it?
When did bin Laden fail to bankrupt America, I missed that, too.

And when the the "cradle of Western Civilization" move to WASHINGTON?

LOL

What soggy tripe this is. Geeze.
