Bush: No joy in bin Laden's death
really, Mr Bush????

Former President George W. Bush says he experienced no pleasure when he heard about the death of Osama bin Laden, the al Qaeda leader responsible for orchestrating the deadly terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001

11. Me neither.
I'm not into all this bloodlust that's become so popular in the US these days.

I believe this expresses how I feel about any death:

No man is an island, entire of itself;
every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less,
as well as if a promontory were,
as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were;
any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

There is a bigger picture. We are so insignificant in the scheme of things, but think we are so important. As Shakespeare said We strut and fret our hour upon the stage, and then are heard no more

I'd rather keep people alive and learn from them what motivates them to do the things they do. But we are not interested in learning. We need an age of enlightenment, badly.

As for Bush, I'd like to know why he has suddenly lost his lost for killing. I remember him being asked once by Bill O'Reilly of all people, who is opposed to the death penalty, why he, Bush supported it (it was the 2000 campaign and my first introduction to him). His response was something like this 'Bill, you have to kill them to stop the killing'!

15. Bush should have joined me in Vietnam,
it's possible he may have learned something about life and death.

The wide shut eyes of the dead are a mirror....

30. Unlike you, he was not willing to
go fight in a war, he later said he can't remember whether he supported it or not.

I appreciate your response and your opinion on the death of OBL as someone who knows what they are talking about.

5. why should anyone give a rat's ass what this moron has to say?
I doubt he's experienced any normal human emotion since he was a child. He should be serving his time as a war criminal right now, not spouting forth nonsense that gets broadcast on the fucking TV.

after he was assassinated as a trophy. Let's say he had an unusual interest in it.

To Bush, there just is "no joy" because he didn't get to Bin Laden before Obama did.

13. I'll bet. The little bastard let him go at Tora Bora to go chasing
glory and oil profits in Iraq. For eight years, bin Laden was able to arrange all sorts of butchery across the planet because Stupid pulled everybody out of Tora Bora when bin Laden was cornered.

I hope he's got brains enough to be ashamed of himself but I doubt he does.

He never got OBL just his substitute Saddam Hussein. So why would he feel pleasure? He didn't get to pull the trigger like down in Texas.

Just not someone living in semi retirement in a client State supported by the family business?

25. You lie, Junior!
You're just jealous that you failed to smoke him out of his hole, and never got to take down your "Osama: Wanted - dead or alive" poster.

You are a complete and total failure at everything, Junior.

The only thing you excel at, Junior, is FAILURE.

Ma and Pa Bush must be so proud!

If he'd managed to accomplish it he'd have been dry humping the podium when he announced it.
