Kendra Marr sends over these quotes from Rudy Giuliani at the National Press Club earlier today, in which he sounded fairly at peace with the troubles he would face in a presidential run:

"I would have a hard time getting nominated I’m a realist and I understand how the primary system works."

He said that if he felt someone could win he would back them but added, "If I think we are truly desperate I will run."

Yet the former New York City mayor, who tried to modulate some of his more moderate social issues stands in 2007 to little advantage, acknowledged he will not be the first choice of social conservatives, but added, "i]I’m not willing to change to become president."

He also talked about budget issues, suggesting that when not dealt with they become "national security" issues too.
