1. And a plutonomy just doesn't work.
Didn't in the 1890s. Didn't in the 1920s. Both led to depressions. Doesn't today.

3. It's nice to see someone else remembers Charles Harness
He never quite rose to the first rank, but he wrote some seriously weird SF stories and deserves to be better remembered.
