I don't watch DWTS, I've never watched DWTS
The same goes for any number of those ubiquitous singing and/or dancing competition shows.

I pretty much find them all boring, empty-headed fluff with an over-abundance of low paid amateurs for ready to exploit talent.

However, I find the campaign of hate and bigotry against Chaz Bono to be appalling. Bono has done nothing but be the person that he is, and somehow that's supposed to be a bad thing.

I've said before, that it's actually true when Chaz's haters cry out that, "God doesn't make mistakes". But NOT for the reason they think it is... It's because it's perfectly natural for all our gay, lesbian, bi and trangendered brothers and sisters to walk (and even dance) amongst us, as it's overly apparent that, they too, are God's handiwork.

America has still a long way to go to be a decent and welcoming place to live for a lot of DIFFERENT people... But first, a lot of Americans need to stop using their self-appointed deites as excuses for buttressing their own fears, hatreds and prejudices. It's all made up... it's false doctrine for the sake of promoting their own lies.

The first commandant is love thy neighbor as you would love God, right? The Chaz haters are not doing their duty, even by God's standards. And as such, are hating God's own creation. I don't think that The Lord would appreciate that kind of willful disobedience of his word.

Or in other words, these fucking, bigoted assholes better get right with God or else they'll end up pissing God off.

1. I was gonna skip DWTS this season because...
...of Nancy Grace.

However, I can and will overcome my mega gag reflex and will watch and support Chaz. :hi:

3. I hope
There is a backlash against the bigots who are targeting Chaz and the voters keep him on till the end.

It is an important lesson for America to learn. I hope young people watch and accept.

2. I detest shows like DWTS and American Idol...
but you can bet I'll be watching DWTS this season - and voting for Chaz. It makes me SICK that people are fine with the 'Queen of Mean' being on the show, but are pissed that one of the kindest people in the industry will also be appearing.

Bigots. :puke:

4. "God doesn't make mistakes"..
Tell that to someone who's watching their kid dying of some really nasty thing like Progeria.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progeria

I'm starting to run out of words adequate to describe my loathing for the attitudes of some people.

5. And you're quite correct
However, I'm not too desirous of having a drawn out discussion about that paticular aspect of God's will, because it will come to the eventual conclusion that God can be an asshole at times.

So, I concede your point without question.

7. Woody Allen says 'If there is a God, obviously he's
an underachiever'. Nice than asshole, but the same. Glad to see you speaking up for Chaz and Company in the face of the haters. I also am not a big fan of most of the talent shows, this is not really one of those, it is a celebrity dance off. That makes it worse, in general, but in this case, I'll be watching. I am going to pm to you a wee fact about DWTS that some do not know.

11. I saw an interview with Nancy Grace who suprised me when she asked about Chaz being on the show
Nancy Grace is also on this season's DWTS and last week she was interviewed on Good Morning America. Only reason I even saw the interview was due to the fact I was at my parent's house and they watch GMA.

Obviously one of the big questions they had to ask her was about how she (Nancy) felt about having Chaz Bono as a fellow contestant on DWTS.

Nancy's answer was straight to the point and she basically said Chaz Bono hasn't committed any crimes and has every right to be a contestant on the show.
