FEMA is coming to the aid of the fire victims.

That's the answer to Governor Rick Perry's request for federal help, and that means FEMA funding is available to cover 75 percent of state and local firefighting costs. snip

Perry plans to assess the damage with FEMA before asking for any further federal aid.

1. So will FEMA be supplying money to clean the egg off the face of
small government conservatives in Texas?

3. I wonder if Ron Paul has made a statement about FEMA and aid for the fires?
If he hasn't, somebody in the media should be shoving a mic in his face. I'd like to see on national tv today just why local Texans haven't been able to handle this fire by themselves, and whether he'd like to admit that his advocating the elimination of emergency services such as FEMA is COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY IRRESPONSIBLE. He should keep being asked, and asked publicly, until he DOES admit it.

This *should be* the end of us hearing his "local solves everything" theories forever. Ditto the rest of the anti-Federal enthusiasts. Do they need the Union now, yes or no? They need to put up, or shut up.

4. Why are they firing the victims?
I didn't know the victims were working for FEMA.
