1. Doesn't surprise me. Ever since Nixon v Kennedy, a politician would be a fool. . .

to not seek as much advantage from makeup and wardrobe as they can, and if they can change the ambiance to highlight their assets, why wouldn't they press for it?

On edit:
And when all is said and done, the only thing Perry has going for him are the superficialities. It's amusing, in a way, that he spends so much time preparing props and special effects and puts so little effort into cultivating his mind. Perhaps its because there's so little to work with up top that being a clotheshorse in the spotlight is the only viable option he has. . .

2. I was hoping he'd demand a "green screen"
So they could show him in action sequences when he discussed foreign policy.

5. Maybe he wanted some some kind of laser weapon for the debate...
in case one of his opponents got too uppity.

"Now, yew shet up, or ah'll hafta set yew on far!"

Probably took his handlers a while to convince him that "Star Wars" wasn't real.

Juanitajean said once that if you stuck a pin in his ego he would fly around backwards across TX for a week.
