911 video in school today...for 7 and 8 year olds

Actual footage of the attacks. Audio of people screaming, children crying, very traumatic footage...bloody injured people, people jumping out of the buildings.

Apparently, all of the kids in the classroom were crying, some had to leave the room.

Some came home crying.

How would you handle this?

This really pisses me off.

1. Actually a lot of kids were watching it at the time-in school and with parents.

I would at the least be talking to the principal, demanding to know why this was going on. Almost certainly taking it to the PTA as well.

I have clear memories of being shown very vivid WWII film clips in the classroom when I was in 3rd grade (approx 1960)... I was scarred forever by them

7. It was shocking because I distinctly remember

child psychologists saying these images would cause nightmares and could induce PTSD in children and that is why they were taken off of the air at that time.

It is really infuriating.
