Dick Cheney to appear on The View next week.
Edited on Fri Sep-09-11 12:22 PM by no_hypocrisy
Ha! Barbara Walters says "everything is on the table". She THINKS she can get Cheney to admit anything substantial.

She's either mendacious or delusional.

Wondering how much time Whoopie will be given to go after him. Wondering if she'll be on that show to begin with.

1. I doubt he'll be asked ANY of the questions he should be asked.

2. NFW! This...I can not even begin to imagine. Wonder if she'll let
Whoopie speak. I tell ya, the man looks like death warmed over. You'd think
if he was trying to make amends he'd start telling the truth, but no....evil
to the end.

3. You know damn well Whoopie is going to try like hell
but I don't think she'll get much of a chance.

5. Maybe Whoopie and Joy will sit this one out because
they don't want to fete a war criminal. More likely they'd want to effect a citizen's arrest. Failing that, I'd like to see them wait until he sits down, then get up and leave. The audience should, too, or at least refuse to applaud.

4. My money would be on Whoopie (over Babs) to get anything from Cheney...
Babs, after all, just loves her some murderous despots. Kissinger, as her male companion, forever is emblazoned on my mind.

Let WHoopie and Joy go after him--unfettered, unobstructed. Now, that I'd pay to see.

12. Yep.
Walters will coddle him and kiss up to him. Let Whoopi and Joy have at him.

6. Thanks for the warning. I won't be VIEWing the show that day...
but then I never do. Hope the audience isn't overcome by his evil essence.

7. I sure don't plan on watching
but can just see Elizabeth falling all over herself to tell him how wonderful he was to keep us free. I absolutely cannot stand her and Barbara likes to pretend she's a true journalist by being non-partisan but just who she hangs out with tells you where her true feelings like.

8. I agree on all counts--well said!
Never have really understood Barbara's appeal, even back in her younger days. As for Elizabeth--wonder if she's ever had to actually work for a living? Joy and Whoopi probably make the show more tolerable, but when it comes on, I'm listening to Thom Hartmann speaking truth to power!

Kinda late, but welcome to DU. You Wisconsites are awesome!

Someone ought to have the smelling salts standing by.
