Notice upon hearing the news the US is "under attack", Bush looks straight ahead. There is no expression of surprise or shock. He doesn't even turn and study the messenger's face for veracity, as you instinctively would when learning something of such great importance. We are asked to believe that a guy who has never been known for quick thinking or decorum, instantly went icy-calm to "avoid alarming the children". Also, why did Card immediately turn and stride off? You'd think he'd hang around for a second to see if the president had any questions or instructions. I guess he just wanted to get out of Bush's alibi shot. :wtf:

13. Took another look at it. He does recognize that something expected has happened.

He peers into the distance a moment, looks down and inside, purses his lips, and then nods.

He doesn't feel it very deeply. But, there is a look of "I'm in trouble."
