John O'Neill was the maverick FBI agent who was THE expert on Bin Laden and Al-Quieda. Chief of the New York Anti-Terrorism office, in charge of 350 agents. He was eventually forced out of the FBI and took a new job as director of security at the World Trade Center, where he died on 9/11.

This is one of Frontline's very best, and an amazing documentary. It blends expose and character study almost seamlessly, and reveals a brilliant, complex, troubled man who didn't fit into his culture, but saw the truth years before anyone else did. Most highly recommended.
