Iran executes 3 men for homosexual acts

According to the reports from Iran, six people were hanged in the Karoun prison of Ahvaz (southwest of Iran) early Sunday morning September 4th.

The state run Iranian news agency ISNA reported that three of those executed were sentenced to death by the Ahvaz revolution court, convicted of "unlawful" acts and acts against Sharia, based on the articles 108 and 110 of the Iranian Islamic penal code. Articles 108 and 110 of the Iranian Islamic Penal code are part of the chapter covering the punishment of "Hadd" for "sodomy".

3. These laws are called "blackmail laws" because they are used by blackmailers to extort lots of money

from noncriminals. Just try extorting a member of the mob in the same way and see what happens. All you have to do it set up a likely candidate with another guy, get some pics and you are on the gravy train for life. The law executes a few of them from time to time to keep it going.

I can guarantee you that there are a bunch of Iranians making out like bandits, many of them affiliated with the same judiciary that handed down these sentences.

Any true church wouldn't and even the most right wing of churches is hardly a supporter of Iran.
I realize that bashing of people of faith is a typical thing on this site, but sometimes it goes so far that it becomes silly.
