Bush on 9/11
I've been watching the original coverage of 9/11 on MSNBC this morning. What struck me was a 9:30 statement made by Bush from the school in Florida, confirming the events as acts of terror - with children standing behind him. Recentely he said again he did not leave the classroom when told of the second plane at 9:03 because he did not want to frighten the children. So much for that....

2. After being told "America is under attack"
...he sat there for another 20 minutes.

That is not the action of a Commander in Chief who really believes his country is under attack.

On my submarine when we sounded the General Alarm we didn't even wait 20 seconds to leap to action.

3. I must have seen the same footage as you
And I thought the exact same thing. They actually lined the children up behind him as a photo op to make him look Presidential. And he said things that I think scared them because I think they could have easily thought all the country was being attacked.

They sure had time to organize that photo op didn't they? Then he must have hurried to Airforce One and taken off with no further explanation to those kids.

5. did you notice how well he speaks when terror is involved?
no gaffs....his mind is clear and focused on the job ahead...and I am sure it was like a kid making out his list for santa..

other topics scramble his brain....no focus...but terror/killing and all involved with that make his head clear and his words flow easily.
