I was talking with a friend

on Saturday, and she said she will be doing something, beginning 9/19, that she has never done before...voting on DWTS. She will call in votes on her home phone, her cell phone, her husband's cell, and her kid's cell to vote for Chaz Bono no matter how good or bad he dances. The uproar over his appearance has disgusted her so much. I totally agree with her, and, even though I have never even watched the show, I will turn it on in time to vote as well.

Let's give this a try, DUers...I have a feeling there will be some bigots who will do the opposite, so spread the word and let's out number them.

11. OK. Well, in a competitive situation, where people vote on

the skills and accomplishments of someone, I always prefer that the voting be based on those things, rather than on something else. I'm aware that voting for this stupid show is based on other things, but that's one of the reasons I refuse to watch it or participate in any way.

What is accomplished if people vote based on their approval or disapproval of the personal characteristics of the competitors other than their abilities?

The whole thing is a sham.

It's DWTS - it's not an election. Chaz is getting death threats - would it really hurt your sensibilities to let him know there are many more people on HIS side?

however, since the entire show is a sham. But, he decided for himself to appear, knowing that the show has nothing to do with dancing ability.
