There's About To Be A Global Battle For Good Jobs
Of the 7 billion people on Earth, there are 5 billion adults aged 15 and older. Of these 5 billion, 3 billion tell Gallup they work or want to work.

Most of these people need a full-time formal job. The problem is that there are currently only 1.2 billion full-time, formal jobs in the world.

This is a potentially devastating global shortfall of about 1.8 billion good jobs. It means that global unemployment for those seeking a formal good job with a paycheck and 30+ hours of steady work approaches a staggering 50%, with another 10% wanting part-time work.

This also means that potential societal stress and instability lies within 1.8 billion -- nearly a quarter of the world's population.

1. And that's probably
why the groundwork is being set for WW3/Crusades2...that will employ the youth and kill a bunch of 'useless eating collateral damage.'

And the Banksters get richer by the minute. WASF.

3. The luckiest of us can be indentured servants
They will still need a few of us to oil their feet, full time. If we refuse, off to war.

2. Love this: "If there was a U.S. Department of Job Creation and it was successful,
its results would overwhelm the success of the U.S. Department of State or the Department of Defense. Political and military forces would no longer determine world outcomes.

As of 2010, the world has a total gross domestic product (GDP) -- or the sum of countries' total goods and services for one year -- of $60 trillion. Of this, the United States has nearly $15 trillion or about 25%, which is huge. Over the next 30 years, the global GDP will grow to an estimated $200 trillion. So a new $140 trillion of customers, employees, new businesses, and equity will come into the global mix. The global war for jobs will be an all-out battle for that $140 trillion because within that sum of money is the next evolution of the best jobs in the world. Within that $140 trillion will rise the next economic empires, as well as the potential for societal hell.

Not sure where the estimate that global GDP will go from $60 trillion to $200 trillion in 30 years came from but that's a tripling of the world's wealth in 30 years. That's a lot of additional wealth even for 7 billion people, but how it is shared will be critical even if that growth comes to pass.

The tripling of global GDP may have happened over the past 30 years but repeating it will be very difficult and the implications for the climate are scary unless there is some fundamental change.

4. The author seem kinda idiotic. There needs to be a paradigm shift
He is assuming that the U.S. must WIN the NEXT WAR and that means having the most MONEY. That is a paradigm of a world 50 years ago (probably throughout all of history) when we did believe that resources were unlimited.

6. Who is waving the white flag?
Most Americans buy straight into the war mentality. Slap the word "war" on a book and people will buy it. War this and war that, really gets the populace riled up.

7. We're giving our jobs away to any and all takers
not even putting up much of a battle. Maybe if we branded it as a "war", like with the War on Some Drugs, people might buy into it. :eyes:

8. Oh, I get it, thought you meant something else
By 'we' are giving up, you mean the bankers, outsourcing jobs. It is the bankers, too, like at my own small company, 50% of the employees were layed off, because the banks offering lines of credit told the owner that's what he needed to do. So I'm not sure it is us, but the people in charge.
