Republicans are playing political games...

...with the Obama jobs plan.

They went home and they heard from their voters. Their approval rating dropped to just over 12% once they returned to Washington. Folks are not happy with their blocking everything the President proposes.

So now, they are pretending that they support some of the stuff the President is trying to do. But they are very careful not to give him anything that will get this economy going. They don't really give a damn how much the people suffer so long as they can defeat Barack Obama in the next election.

That is the game they are playing.

It is a political game that only the lowest political life forms would indulge in and one that the Republican Party is very comfortable with. Damn you, Barack Obama! How dare you try to get us out of this mess that we created. We refuse to let you take credit for cleaning it up.

Their jobs plan is no secret and is the same plan they have always had. They say that helping the owners and the investors as much as we possibly can will cause wealth to trickle down. If more Democrats saw that clearly and developed a strong and clear alternative, rather than offering Republican-lite, we could out everyone back to work in short order.

and the media is trying to help them out pretending as though they are the ones leading and that they didn't get their asses handed to them when they went home. They really think that they are going to get away with it but they won't,people are really angry.

I am surprised it has taken this long for many to see what they have been doing. As soon as the campaign really gets hyped up they are going to feel it in more ways than one.

4. Republicans will be very glad to support the President's tax cuts,

so both they and the President can pat themselves on the back that a compromise was reached.

Bush/Obama Income Tax Cuts, Obama Payroll "Tax" Cuts (which benefit twice as much as those making above the SS cap), Corporate Tax Cuts (lowering it to 25% and 5% for a repatriation tax holiday to allow multinational corporations to bring profits held overseas back to the US), Obama Payroll "Tax" Cuts for Employers (3.1% businesses would pay on the first $5 million of their payroll, the full 6.2 percent employer contribution would be waived on the first $50 million net increase in a company’s payroll).

7. Accepting without questioning (or in your words bashing) have left me

feeling duped too many times over the last 10 years to not be cynical, especially when compromising by politicians hasn't turned out the best for the most, but rather for the few with the most. Would be nice to believe everything a politician tells us is sincere and truthful.
