It won't be a GOP debate tonight, it's a Tea Party debate.

I was watching the local news from the Tampa NBC affiliate and they showed this pic
of the banner over the entrance to the debate at the Florida Sate Fairgrounds. It
proclaims 'Tea Party' in red letters larger than 'Republican' in black.

So evidently it is more important to them to be known as Tea Baggers rather than
just yer run of the mill lying and thieving rethuglicans. It must be an admission that
"Republican" is perceived as a dirty word by most people.

And it could not be any more appropriate to hold this circus at a fairgrounds.

1. Its a fiscal/tax debate according to the Teabagger Organizer
I will believe it when I see it.

Santorum has no Google search that come close to "fiscal".

5. And the ratings for it will be atrocious.
Going up against the opening night of Monday Night Football. They'll be lucky to get twenty thousand viewers.

6. The republican party is the same as the Tea Bagger party. The "moderates" or "old style"
republicans are gone.

9. I can't wait to watch the fireworks at this debate! I hope Romney and Perry destroy each other.

I heard Social Security was going to be brought up during the debate.

First we have the Tea Party favourite, Perry: "Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme!".
Thank you, Perry! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

At least you're honest about the Republican plans to kill Social Security and Medicare.

I can hear the Tea Party faithful saying..."Kill Social Security for 'them',
the lazy no good loafers, poor, sick, non-whites, and non-believers in the 'true faith',
as long as we continue to get our Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid."

Then we have Romney, who the Tea Party love to hate, defending Social Security.
Come on Tea Party faithful. Repeat after me. "Boo. Boo, boo, boo, boo.
Down with that wishy-washy, establishment Republican.
Can the Tea Party faithful really trust a Mormon?
Romney isn't one of us! Romney is our Obama! Boo. Boo. Boo."

I hope Perry and Romney become the laughing stock of every late night talk show.

I hope the Tea Party faithful are so discredited, by their actions and questions,
they are forced to crawl back into their caves for another twenty years.

I hope America finally wakes up and sees the Tea Party for what it is.

Call me the eternal optimist.
