A legal question in regards to voting
Apparently North Carolina is going to have a ballot initiative defining marriage on our primary ballot in May. I know that if a person turns 18 between the primary date and the date of the general election (for example say June 5th) then that person can vote in the primary as well as the general election. My question is could such a person vote on the initiative.

2. can you call your registrar of voters?
Edited on Mon Sep-12-11 08:40 PM by pitohui
not in north carolina so i can't say but is there some reason you cannot trust your local registrar to give you the truth? if they are neutral just call them and get a yea/nay

i wouldn't be surprised if there is some reason you can't trust local advice, just curious, it's puzzling to me that this is something that can be voted on...how can you vote on whether or not someone is "worthy" of equal rights but we have to work with the system we have, i realize
