Had a firebreathing teabagger turn into an Obama supporter right before my eyes today
He is a retired ready-mix driver. He brown nosed his former boss into giving one of his kids a job as a driver. But things are really slowing down. With home construction way off about the only work the kid has been getting was working on contracts this company had with big gubment from the Stimulus. And those jobs are petering out now. This guy is not only worried his kid may be laid off, he is also worried his boss will not be able to continue paying his pension and medical benefits if things get too slow. Real worried.

He knows there is a bunch of money allocated to Illinois in the American Jobs Act for the kind of work his son does and pays his pension. So guess what? He is all for it. He was talking about the Congressional Republicans who are against it today and didn't have one good word to say about them. Lot of bad words though. He was actually admitting that Obama had the right idea. Imagine that?

Amazing how that works, isn't it?

2. I'm convinced that unless it happens to YOU, you won't
see past the bs you're currently swallowing.

Sadly, the way things are going, more and more people are going to be affected until it gets to the point where it did for your friend/co-worker/whoever this guys is.

Hope he spreads the word to his other firebreathing baggers!

Most democrats can see past their own noses.

3. He's still a dick for being a teabagger ...
If this economy didn't effect him personally, he'd still be railing against any type of stimulus spending. That's how these people think. If it doesn't effect them, then it's socialism; if it effects them, then it's just plain common sense.

Fuck 'em all.

8. Many people are dicks
And the varieties of dickdom are innumerable. Ultimately I don't care if this guy is nice, or mean, or if he talks to his pimples at night. He's a working person and I want more money in his pockets.

not finding a new angle without changing ones personal selfishness at all. :eyes:

15. it only works when they pay attention....
Color me cynical, but I don't think most tea bagger types get it even when you smack them with the clue stick. Your guy must have one or two additional, non-infested brain cells still on the job.

17. DId he say those words? Will he vote Democratic
next time? It seems the only time repukes have a change of heart is when it affects them personally. It must be difficult to have no empathy.

with some action. let his lawmakers know this! reason doesn't work, maybe shame will. i also hope his mind is expansive enough to realize that the left is the best in all things not just this.

He'll go watch Faux News or listen to Teabag Radio and they'll set him right. Pun definitely intended.
