Does anyone else have a charter school dedicated to safety and security?

Maybe I've been living in my own little corner of the world here in DE, but when I read my email version of our town paper today, I saw there is a new public charter school opening. It's called "The Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security" to focus on First Responders fields (police, fire, ems, and others). It says "Skills learned at DAPSS will also be helpful to cadets who elect to pursue other professions or occupations." It sounds like a good thing, until I read that it's on the campus of Faith City Family Church. They say there is no affiliation, but that just seems like a strange mash-up to me. I know of another church (rather fundamentalist) in town that shares it's space with a security business, so I'm thinking maybe there is more there than is being noted.

Just wondering if anything like that is set up in your communities.
