1. It will get meaningless amendments.
Once the fruit has been tasted there is no going back.

Obama has a fancy for it also.

11. I'm just stating that libertarians would easily vote to repeal it
Not stating any support, just that liberals don't have this issue all on their own. Other groups oppose it, even the extreme right.
